9th June 2019 – Podcast #1

Action Plans, NQTs and Perspective

Hi Everyone!

So this is very exciting as it is our first upload of the Greenwich Primary Podcast.

Dr Poppy Gibson and I have a little chat about her experience of preparing the future, what you can expect when entering your NQT Year, and how best to handle the stress. It turns out the answer is exactly what you’d expect – chocolate!

Please excuse any bumps on the microphone I need to fiddle about with the settings a little!

Please leave your comments, feedback and any further questions you might have as I will try to make sure they are all answered.

Have a fab day!

Education in Scotland, Spain and Hong Kong

Hi everyone,

A big thank you to Kat, Luke and Adriana from B3 who helped me to create this podcast. It was such an interesting conversation (which we ended up having twice thanks to technical difficulties!) and I hope you all learn as much as I did about the education systems we discussed.

If anyone has a specific topic they want to discuss or anything they’d like to hear please let me know. The guys will vouch for me that is an enjoyable process to just have a chat about things we’re interested in.

Enjoy your summer!

Imposter Syndrome #GiveItARead

Imposter Syndrome‘ is, in its’ simplest form, intellectual self-doubt. And the irony is, those who are most likely to experience it are high achievers, professionals and academics – people who from the outside we might assume are incredibly self-assured in their position.

I’ve added a link below to an article by Adam Persky who talks about his own experience with the syndrome and how we can help to overcome our own experiences with it.
